DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Unsigned Iowa 935 begins at US 34 in the City of West Burlington and travels easterly approximately three‑quarters mile.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑935‑0 (1), between the City of West Burlington and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred Unsigned Iowa 935 from US 34 approximately 1550 feet east of the NW Corner Section 34‑T70N‑R3W easterly to a point near the N ¼ Corner NW ¼ Section 35‑T70N‑R3W to city jurisdiction on February 1, 1981.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the attached description of Unsigned Iowa 935 in Des Moines County from the primary road system.

Remove Unsigned Iowa 935 in Des Moines County as follows:

Beginning at a point approximately 1550 feet east of the NW Corner of Section 34; T70N‑R3W (junction of US 34); thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 34 and 35‑T70N‑R3W to the west corporation line of the City of West Burlington, connecting with an unnamed street.

Due to the relocation of US 34 in the area near West Burlington and Burlington, Iowa Unsigned Iowa 935 has been created and its description should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Unsigned Iowa 935 begins at the junction of US 34 approximately 1 mile west of West Burlington and travels easterly to the west corporation line of West Burlington, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Unsigned Iowa 935 in Des Moines County as follows:

Beginning at a point approximately 1550 feet east of the NW Corner of Section 34‑T70N‑R3W (junction of US 34); thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 34 and 35‑T70N-R3W to the west corporation line of the City of West Burlington, connecting with an unnamed street.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Unsigned Iowa 935 in Des Moines County, Iowa.
